Rapswell, Moe Sample - Calypso

The first solo album from Rapswell finds him exploring silent worlds in a submersible, with only a bottle of cognac and a notebook for his rhymes. He is accompanied onboard by his navigator Moe Sample, who provides a soundtrack of ethereal beats for their deep sea adventures. Together, the two frogmen set off depth charges.

After years of dropping group projects with PENPALS and OG’z, Swell embarks on a new type of expedition, this one inspired by Jacques Cousteau’s pioneering trips to the sea floor. Reefs with coral that can set a scuba suit on fire. Underwater caves that reveal fish swimming upside down. Sea cucumbers.
