Love is an addicitive drug, that can cloud ones judgement. A lack of love within, can be just as detrimental, in fact, even worse. Our capacity to love someone else, is directly proportional to the love for ourselves.

Love echoes through Rio’s music, and is a recurring topic throughout his discography. “Love & Other Drugs” conveys a message of self love and finding the strength to love oneself above all else. The EP encapsulates the expression, self love is the best love. The project is deeply introspective, filled with pensive lyricism. Rio openly discusses his flaws while simultaneously characterizing his growth. Throughout the project Rio makes contrasts between his past and present.
