Sunmundi, Āthmaan - Midnight Oil

Sunmundi is a rare breed. Young in age and in his time creating yet the work unravels as though he is a weathered sage who has been wandering the earth absorbing life, pain, and loss, and seeing the soul and humanity in a world spinning out of control. He is cut from the cloth of folks like Ka, Navy Blue, Mike Ladd, Saul Williams, billy woods, Charles Bukowski, Prodigy and other legendary poets. Āthmaan plays his part well in laying down the often ambient, yet always engulfing sonic canvas for Sunmundi to paint on. The pairing is something of magic.

“Midnight Oil” is not meant to be skipped around. Rather, it is a living & breathing piece of art that you sit in and with, and feel. You turn off the world around you and experience each movement, 1-10, as paintings, sculptures, and mixed medium art installations meant to be consumed slowly.
